Player arrested at trial match

St. George's cricketer Detroy Smith was arrested during a Cup Match trial on Saturday after Police entered the changing rooms during a break in play.
Smith, 24, of Devonshire, was playing in the match between St. George's and neighbours St. David's at Wellington Oval.
A Police spokesman said yesterday: "At 4.05 p.m. on Saturday, a 24-year-old Devonshire man was arrested at St. George's Cricket Club in connection with an ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time."
