PartnerRe hires Schriber to leading US role
PartnerRe has hired a former top executive of US insurer WR Berkley as its new head of structured risk, North America Property and Casualty.
Jonathan Schriber has extensive experience in structured risk solutions, having specialised in this line of business for much of his 24-year reinsurance career.
Working out of the Bermudian-based reinsurer’s Stamford office as part of the North America P&C business unit, he will report to Dick Sanford, head of North America P&C and president of PartnerRe US.
Most recently, Mr Schriber was chief underwriting officer, global reinsurance at WR Berkley Corporation where he was involved in overall underwriting strategy, aggregate management and new product development.
He joined Berkley Re America in July 2007 to manage the North American brokered treaty unit where he developed new lines of business including structured risk and successfully opened a Canadian branch.
Mr Schriber holds a Bachelor of Science degree in quantitative business analysis from Penn State University, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
