Willis strengthens its Bermuda team

Global insurance broker Willis Group Holdings has announced the appointment of Vince McGeehan as executive vice-president and managing director of Willis Bermuda.

Willis has also named Kevin Geraghty as senior vice-president and property practice leader at its Bermuda office.

Mr. McGeehan, who brings 35 years of experience and extensive relationships with him to the position, will manage Willis Bermuda's insurance brokerage operation. Prior to joining Willis, McGeehan worked as a senior vice-president for Ace US and Ace Bermuda and before that as an executive vice-president for Aon Bermuda and as president of Aon's Financial Services Group in New York.

Mr. Geraghty, who brings 21 years of experience to the position, will lead Willis Bermuda's property team. He spent the past 16 years with Marsh McLennan Companies, including the past four years in Marsh's Bermuda office. Before that, Mr. Geraghty worked as an underwriter in Lloyd's of London.

Jonathon Atkinson, chief executive officer of Willis Bermuda, said: "These two gentlemen bring exceptional skills, experience and relationships to their respective positions, and we believe they will appreciably strengthen Willis' Bermuda office and the services we provide to our clients."
