A much-awaited comedy show will finally be held at the Fairmont Southampton tomorrow night.

Rickey Smiley will take the stage in the Mid Ocean Amphitheatre the American comedian missed an initial performance scheduled for May 9.

The entertainer is best known as the host of BET's 'Comic View' in 2000. His appearance on the show is believed to have given it its biggest ratings jump in its ten-year history.

He currently hosts The Rickey Smiley Morning Show on Dallas' 97.9 radio station.

"Grandparents often show up at my shows, knowing they will not be embarrassed by the material," he said at a press conference held earlier this week.

"When I headline a large venue, it is not unusual to find parents bringing their children to watch me perform. My style of comedy is recognisable, approachable, and best of all hilarious."

Tickets $50, can be purchased at 27th Century Boutique and Secrets. Ticket holders from the May 9th show will be accepted.
