Breaking news: Khano Smith to sign for Lincoln City

By Stephen Wright

Bermuda international Khano Smith is set to sign for English League Two team Lincoln City on a short-term deal.

Smith has impressed during his month’s trial at the Imps and hopes to be granted international clearance in time to make his debut against Torquay United next weekend.

The 28-year-old has been looking for a club since being released by struggling MLS side New York Red Bulls in July.

Lincoln's new manager Chris Sutton told the Lincolnshire Echo: "Khano has certainly impressed me in the last ten days.

"He's direct, he has a good attitude to training, his fitness levels are good and there is definitely potential there."
