Hat-trick of clean sheets for Trott
Nathan Trott maintained his unblemished record in England Under-20ís narrow triumph away to Poland in an international friendly yesterday.
The West Ham United Under-23 goalkeeper kept a clean sheet in the visitorsí 1-0 victory in Bielsku-Bialej and has still to concede a goal in three of his appearances for Keith Downingís team.
Keinan Davis, the Aston Villa striker, came on as a second-half substitute to notch a late winner that silenced a sell-out crowd of 13,745.
Davisís 87th-minute goal came after the visitors had Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka sent off on his England Under-20 debut after picking up a second booking in the 76th minute.
The home side were unable to cash in on their numerical advantage as England remained impenetrable at the back before Davis popped up to open his account for the Three Lions youngsters with a memorable winner.
England edged Venezuela 1-0 in last summerís Under-20 World Cup final in South Korea to earn the country their first global title since 1966.
Trott also enjoyed international success last summer as he was a part of the England Under-19 squad that won the European Championship in Georgia.
The former BAA player made his England Under-20 debut in a 3-0 win away to the Netherlands last August and kept another clean sheet in 4-0 thrashing of the Czech Republic at St Georgeís Park two months later.
He had been originally named the England Under-20 squad for last Novemberís friendly away to Germany, but withdrew after being injured playing for West Ham Under-23 in their Checkatrade Trophy game away to Bristol City.
Trott and his team-mates will look to continue their winning ways when they face Portugal in another international friendly at Manchester Cityís Academy Stadium next Tuesday.
