LIVE NOW: Coverage of the 2012 Budget

Good morning.

Today Premier and Finance Minister Paula Cox will set out her Budget for the forthcoming year.

It will be interesting to see how she addresses the needs of the economy while still trying to come to terms with a fall in revenue and a rising debt.

It will also be interesting to see if it is a vote-pleasing Budget as a General Election is going to have to be called soon.

We will bring you live updates here of the Budget highlights as the Premier addresses the House of Assembly.

We will then bring you an 'at a glance' look at the Budget as well as reaction as it comes in.

There is a press conference in the afternoon and reporter Tim Smith will be there bringing live updates.

I will also add comments from our Readers' Forum and hopefully there will be reaction from other members of the community. It is not too late to join my Froum: if you want to just email jdeacon@royalgazette.bm

I've added links to last year's Budget so you can compare and contrast – and I'd really like to hear what you have to say.

You can comment directly here, email me or use the Twitter hashtag #Bermudabudget – the comments will reach this platform.
