Fourth road fatality of 2020
A man died after he was involved in a crash in Smith’s last night, police said today.
The two-vehicle incident happened at the junction of Town Hill Road and Harrington Sound Road at about 7.40pm
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: “Information is, a 47 year-old man on a motorcycle collided with a car.
“The motorcycle rider was thrown from the bike and is reported to have sustained head and chest injuries.”
He added that the man was taken by ambulance to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment but “sadly, succumbed to his injuries”.
It was the island’s fourth road death this year.
The police spokesman said that the driver of the car, a 54 year-old woman, suffered minor injuries including bruising to her face.
A cordon was in place while investigators and the Forensic Support Unit examined the scene.
