A party with both Soca and Reggae is the official Cup Match After Party.

"Soca Versus Reggae, the Rematch," which is being presented by Barmuvinjam, will take place at Snorkel Park, Dockyard after the game on Friday.

The event is promising a line up of both local and international DJs.

One of the Barmuvinjam owners Vejay Steede spoke with The Royal Gazette about their camp at Cup Match and the upcoming Cup Match After Party.

"Everyone is welcome to join them as they watch the game at Cup Match," he said.

"Tickets for Soca v Reggae would be available at there as well."

Regarding the after party, Mr. Steede said they would have the Soca Twins and Reggaelution to take party animals into the wee hours.

"The Soca Twins are professional German deejays that play Soca music like you've never heard," he said.

"They are off the chain and must be seen to be fully appreciated."

Asked if they would be in standard Soca tradition and lead the crowds, he said: "They will make you jump and wave!

"Our research department found them online and decided that they had to come after viewing their website and various performance clips available online."

Reggaelution is an internationally renowned mix tape deejay who brings considerable weight to the defending champion's camp, explained Mr. Steede.

"They play all forms of Reggae music, with a preference for up-tempo Dancehall, which they often mix with American rhythms," he said.

Unlike last weekend's clash between David Rodigan and Rory of Stone Love, this one is slightly different.

"This will be a clash of musical genres consisting of eight rounds of varying length," he said. "We don't want to let too much out of the bag just yet."

Mr. Steede encouraged partygoers to head to Snorkel Park shortly after the game.

"Get in early to avoid disappointment, because this event will be jumping from early," he said. "Round one will begin promptly at 11 p.m."

Aside from the Barmuvinjam camp at Cup Match tickets, which are $30 are also available from Secrets, in the Washington Mall and from Barmuvinjam executives.

Doors open at 9 p.m. and the party ends at 3 a.m.
