City prepares for ‘amazing’ fashion show

Hundreds of models will strut their stuff tonight in what is being coined the “largest fashion show Bermuda has even seen”.Evolution, a free event organised by the City of Hamilton, promises to provide the local public with an out-of-this world experience.Event project manager Danilee Trott said: “It’s going to be an amazing event. It’s the largest fashion show Bermuda has ever seen.“The runway is 150 feet long and set to the backdrop of City Hall. We have nearly 200 models including kids, ladies and men of all different sizes and ages.“We are working closely with retailers and our salons to promote some pre-Cup Match fashions,” she said. There will be 26 retailers and seven salons lending their services.Bermuda-born Deandra Brangman, who was the winner of Top Model Worldwide 2011, will be the guest model at the event. There will also be top model scouts “looking to find Bermuda’s next fresh face”, said Ms Trott.Church Street will be closing down at 4pm so people can bring their chairs or blankets and get their spot set up for the festivities, which start at 7pm.There will be a ‘fashion village’ with booths set up for people to purchase clothes and accessories; as well as some outside vendors selling a range a food items.For more information visit www.cityhall.bm.
