Third Bermuda Festival show added for Queen tribute band

An “unprecedented demand” for One Night of Queen has led to an additional show at the Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts. The performance is a re-creation of the final concert tour of Queen with its iconic lead singer Freddy Mercury. The show will include many of the bands popular songs including ‘We are the Champions’, ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.“Tickets to the two nights we had slated for the band almost sold out on the first day they went on sale,” said Festival artistic director Karen Pollard.“With such an enthusiastic response from the public, we contacted the band and were successful in persuading them to add a performance on Thursday, February 28.”The additional concert will take place at the Fairmont Southampton at 8.30pm.Tickets will be available online on Friday at 10am on www.bermudafestival.org and www.bdatix.bm.Tickets can also be purchased from Festival box offices: Fabulous Fashions at the Heron Bay Plaza, Southampton; All Wrapped Up in the Washington Mall until November 30; and Sportseller, Washington Mall from December 1.For those who prefer, tickets can be purchased by phone on 232-2255 for an additional $3 per ticket.
