Special dolphin ‘dance’ to Christmas carols will be highlight for Dockyard festivities

Dockyard will be joining in on the holiday festivities by hosting a fun filled afternoon for people of all ages on Sunday.The highlight of the afternoon is expected to be a carol performance and choreographed dolphin display, provided by the acclaimed Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Mass Choir and the team at Dolphin Quest, starting at 6pm.While choir members sing some of the public’s favourite holiday tunes, the dolphins will be interacting with Dolphin Quest trainers in various choreographed segments.Spectators are encouraged to sing along and will be given a glow stick and a song sheet upon their arrival. Hot chocolate and mulled wine will be served in the Queen’s Exhibition Hall after the show.Elves will also be roaming throughout Dockyard spreading holiday cheer and smiling for photo opportunities during the day.A free children’s craft and movie camp will also be available upstairs in the Clocktower Mall, from noon until 5pm. Snacks and a bouncy castle will also be on offer for young children.The Neptune Theatre will be providing a free screening of the movie ‘Ice Age — A Mammoth Christmas’ at 1.30pm; and the “Marshall of Magic” will be showing off his tricks for audiences in the games room of The Frog & Onion at 3.30pm.The Christ Church, Warwick bell choir will perform in the Clocktower from 2pm-2:30pm.But the star of the show, Santa Claus, will be making an appearance at the Frog and Onion Pub for diners from 1pm until 3pm. There will also be festive live music on offer.‘A Taste of Bermuda’ will kick off in the atrium between the pub and Bermuda Craft Market for people to get people in the holiday mood.And to make things easier for people buying gifts, free gift wrapping will be available in both the Clocktower Mall and the Dockyard Lane Atrium.Free transportation will be provided by the Dockyard Train, running in a loop through the area from noon until 6pm.The day’s events are sponsored by West End Development Corporation, National Museum of Bermuda, Dolphin Quest and the Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Mass Choir.Spectators are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and enjoy an afternoon of fun.
