Filipinos unite to clean up Astwood Park

The Association of Filipinos in Bermuda has participated in a Keep Bermuda Beautiful clean-up Sunday, March 24th at Astwood Park, Warwick. The association is a registered charity and has adopted the park clean on a regular basis. KBB Executive Director Anne Hyde was present to give a short orientation and discussion on how trash is affecting Bermuda’s environment. The Association collected 56 bags comprised mostly of beer bottles, plastic bottles, and all sorts of litter on Sunday.

Keep Bermuda Beautiful (KBB) got a helping hand from the Association of Filipinos in Bermuda — and Warwick’s Astwood Park is the better for it.The group gathered 56 bags of beer bottles, plastic bottles and other litter from the South Shore beauty spot.The Association, a registered charity, has adopted the park as an area to clean up on a regular basis.The Sunday initiative saw KBB executive director Anne Hyde give a short talk on the impact of trash on Bermuda’s natural environment.Useful website: www.kbb.bm.
