Six Bermuda beauties face a nail-biting wait to see if they will get the chance to become international models.The six, who all strutted their stuff in the Evolution Fashion Show on Saturday night, have been chosen by scouts from the London agency, Elite Model Management, as possible future models.Rayneisha Bean, Karina Rebellato, Sophie Adams, Keizhari Knight, Corynne Edwards and Julia Lines must now go through an agonising five-day wait to see if they have made the cut to the final four.Ms Bean had already endured one heart-stopping moment, when she realised she had been selected by Elite, and is now preparing herself for another.“I was in shock,” she said of her selection on Saturday night. “When they finally called my number, my heart just stopped for that minute. As soon as I got off the stage my family ran up to me, and they are really excited for me and support me 100 percent.”She went on to give advice for those wanting to get into the industry.“For anyone that’s considering modelling, I would have them ask themselves if that’s what they really want to do. If you don’t wake up, breathe and sleep the model industry, then I wouldn’t advise them to do it. I would have them learn as much as they can first.”Separately, Karina Rebellato and Ben Howland won the Capital G prize at the Evolution show, worth $1,000 to each model.Danilee Trott, event project manager for City of Hamilton, explained the six models were selected by a lead scout from Elite.“They did a number of casting calls, and shortlisted six ladies from Evolution, whose portfolios, and profile sheets, are now with Elite Model Management in London,” she said.“The selection date is [Sunday] July 14, so I should know [who has been selected] by either by that date, or the day after.”
