Rude bus driver should be sacked

October 31, 2013

Dear Sir, Does that rude lady bus driver, depicted in Letters to The Editor in The Royal Gazette (October 31st) realise what incalculable damage she did in five minutes?

She washed away thousands upon thousands of dollars spent on our tourism advertising, telling the world how hospitable and welcoming we are.

She should be fired and never again be employed serving the public.

We honour our heroes, so we should identify and dishonour any Bermudian that dishonours our lovely little Island.

This must stop, and it will pretty quickly if we adopt the above policy, of publicly identifying the culprit, there are too many like stories that are most disturbing.

Most of us realise that Bermuda’s tourism business is what will help our economic recovery, but there are some who disregard this urgent need, and do not realise that courtesy is as powerful a tool as thousands spent on courting the prospective traveller.

Think before you speak with impatience and rudeness, and understand our very survival depends on our attitude towards our guests.
