A security camera video of a man allegedly stealing a motorcycle from a garage has been spreading online.

The black and white video, titled “Brazen thief at work in Smith’s parish”, was uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday and had garnered more than 400 views as of last night.

It shows a man wearing a helmet and holding a small light looking around the inside of what appears to be a garage. After several minutes, he takes one of two bikes off its stand and pushes it out of a side door.

The poster of the video, identified only as ‘Smith’s parish’, wrote in the video’s description: “If you know this thief let the Bermuda Police know. He stole a White Honda SH 125 on January 4 at 1am. Help catch this thief.”

A police spokesman confirmed last night that they were aware of the incident, and that inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
