Event organiser Valentino Tear said he’s known for putting on a good party.

Last year he held a series of gay-friendly events on the island and said the feedback was extremely good.

Tomorrow night Mr Tear will be hosting his first event of 2014 — a Bermuda Pride party at Docksiders from 9pm until 3am.

He said: “The entire community is welcome to come out. It’s well known that gay clubs have some of the best music and DJs playing house and Top 40 hits. A lot of women say they are also happier and more at ease at gay clubs because it’s a peaceful drama-free environment, so we are calling on everyone to come out and have a good time.”

He said past events garnered “great support” from a wide cross-section of the community and believes this event will be no different.

Local establishments like Taste, Red Steakhouse and Bar, Muse and Docksiders have also been very encouraging.

“They want to see Bermuda move forward and I am happy to be a part of that,” he said. “I encourage people to come out, no matter if you are gay or straight, and help us start the year off with style.”

Mr Tear will be showing the premiere episode of the Showtime series Queer As Folk from 9pm until 10pm.

He is encouraging party goers to show up early to enjoy the show.
