For a romantic night out in the East End you can’t go wrong with a Valentine’s Day dinner at Tavern by the Sea on Water Street in St George’s.

On Friday, February 14, the restaurant has made up a special menu with a variety of choices to please anyone’s taste.

Marilyn Sannemalm from the restaurant said: “Our location right on St George’s Harbour is beautiful and we also have a number of areas where you can have dinner.

“Actually we have five different areas. We have outside on the terrace, on the porch, the main dining area and the bar area as well as the area where we have the stage. Hopefully it will be nice weather so people can be on the terrace because it is beautiful there right by the water.”

Ms Sannemalm said the restaurant will give a rose to every lady who comes for dinner on Valentine’s Day evening “and we offer all the diners a glass of champagne when they arrive. That is something we have been doing for years”.

The menu includes such starters as Caesar Salad, Crab Cakes, Lobster Bisque and Chicken ‘Lollipop’ with a spicy dip!

Main courses include Beef Wellington, Bermuda Rockfish, Broiled Bermuda Lobster or a Seafood Medley Skewers.

“We also have a very nice romantic dessert called ‘Hot Love’ which is hot strawberry sauce atop vanilla ice cream served with a fresh strawberry surprise and all topped with whipped cream,” said Ms Sannemalm adding, “People from other parishes will also love coming to St George’s to celebrate Valentine’s Day dinner.”
