Golden Globe-winning film “The Great Beauty” has been selected as the next film to be screened as part of the Bermuda International Film Festival’s BIFFlix series.

The film, directed by Paolo Sorrientino, centres on journalist and one-time novelist Jep Gambardella, who finds himself taking stock of his life and aiming his wit at himself and his contemporaries.

The Italian film debuted at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film and has been nominated for an Academy Award in the same category.

The film will be screened at 5.30pm on February 23 at the Tradewinds Auditorium in the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.
