Top names to play in World Par 3

European Tour players, Ryder Cup winners and leading overseas club professionals will flock to Bermuda for the Grey Goose World Par 3 Championship at Turtle Hill Golf Club at The Fairmont Southampton this month.

Among the famed players who will be competing are Ronan Rafferty, the Northern Irish 1989 Ryder Cup winner and 1989 PGA European Tour Order of Merit winner, Barry Lane, a five-times European Tour winner and four-times European Senior Tour winner, and Mark Mouland, an eight-times European Tour winner and two-times European Senior Tour winner.

Several Bermuda players will also take part, including the Island’s top professional Michael Sims, Daniel Augustus, who won the Bacardi National Par 3 Championships in January, and Dwayne Pearman.

Anthony Mocklow, the Turtle Hill Golf Club director, said: “This is a phenomenal event that has grown exponentially over the past four years and Grey Goose has truly elevated the prestige of the World Par 3 Championship.

“We are thrilled to host so many talented golfers and hope that this annual championship continues to drive focus on golf tourism in Bermuda.

“The professional golf landscape is shifting, with par-three tournaments becoming more popular, and the World Par 3 Championships in Bermuda has been at the forefront of this movement.”

During the championship there will be a Golf Live Dinner, featuring the Golf Channel’s lead analyst Charlie Rymer on Saturday, March 29.

There will also be video highlights and a fireside chat with some of golf’s greats and Win McMurray, an anchor on The Golf Channel.

Tickets are available at bdatix.com for $125, with part proceeds benefiting the Bermuda Sea Turtle Project.
