MPs’ condolences for St George’s couple

Premier Craig Cannonier led condolences in the House of Assembly for a couple found dead at their St George’s home on Monday.

Mr Cannonier told MPs that Myron Anthony Robinson and wife Regina lived only two doors away from him.

He added: “She was a personal friend — we grew up together in St George’s and St David’s. Our families were very, very close.

“She was just such a bubbly person, always smiling and always looking on the bright side of life, no matter what challenges faced her.”

And Mr Cannonier said: “To the families, we give our deepest condolences and we will continue to pray for the families.”

St George’s MP Nandi Outerbridge, who represents the Robinson’s home area, added: “The sudden loss of a loved one is always tough to comprehend and the double tragedy of this loss has shaken not only the country, but also the tight-knit community of St George’s.”

PLP MP and Shadow Minister Michael Weeks said he had known Mr Robinson on the executive of the Mid Atlantic Boat Club and extended his condolences, as did St George’s MP Kenneth Bascome.

The couple were found dead at a house on Wellington Slip Road in St George’s.

A police probe into the deaths continues.
