BF&M climbs 2.1%

BF&M Ltd gained 2.1 percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.

The insurer’s share price advanced 35 cents to close on $17, on the trading of 400 shares.

There was brisk trading activity around Butterfield Bank, as 303,900 shares changed hands, but the bank remained unchanged on $1.98.

Butterfield yesterday also announced its intention to voluntarily delist from the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange, a jurisdiction where it has a major operation.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 2.41 points, or 0.17 percent, to close on 1,391.21. Volume was 304,316 and turnover was $608,716.80.

The BSX Insurance Index slid 10.74 points, or 0.74 percent, to 1,423.27.
