A group of men entered a Smith’s home this morning, attacked the resident and stole a quantity of cash according to police.

A police spokesman said: “At approximately 7am, three males dressed in all black, wearing black helmets entered a residence on Club Road and attacked the male occupant.

“The victim sustained facial injuries and later attended King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. An undisclosed amount of cash is believed to have been stolen.”

Police are urging anyone who may have seen two motorcycles with three passengers fitting the description around the Club Road/Devil’s Hole area between 6.30am and 7am to contact the Eastern Criminal Investigations Unit at 293-2222.
