Dear Sir,

Just a list of illegal type of drivers/riders in Bermuda:

1. The ones who can’t seem to use an indicator on a round-a-bout but, assume others are supposed to understand that as they turn without one.

2. Cellphone drivers (whether they’re male or female).

3. Text drivers (same as above).

4. Illegal parking to the side by taxi drivers.

5. Text riders (instead of worrying about the road, they’re worried about the phone and, when they get in an accident, they figure you’re supposed to feel sorry for them).

6. Drivers coming out of gate and not stopping, not checking what’s coming on their left or right.

5. Third lane riders.

6. Drivers having dark-tint on their cars (and even worse removing them just to get their cars passed and, putting it back on as with a female driver of a blue Subaru. Why she feels it’s necessary to put back the tint knowing illegal to do so, remains a mystery as well).

7. Speeders (and they come in female too).

8. Running a red light.

9. Drivers failing to have headlights/brake lights checked on cars, taxis and so forth after a month. I’ve seen a black CRV with only one headlight working and driven by a female for more than one month now indicates, she doesn’t care about the safety to herself nor others around her at night. The same goes to another female in a grey Mitsubishi Lancer who has most of her brake lights burnt-out. How can either of them pay for gas and everything else but never to repair those lights, remains a mystery but even still, why the police never arrest such drivers.

10. Although this isn’t illegal but ought to be illegal: TCD passing so-called removed dark-tint on their cars just so that the drivers puts it back on after passing. If TCD were smart, they’ll write down the license plate number, pass the info to the police who then keeps a record of such a vehicle. If that car suddenly has dark-tint when at the time of passing, it wasn’t there then a warrant for that driver to be arrested should be applied. The driver shouldn’t get mad because smart, intelligent drivers wouldn’t do something that illegal with their cars to begin with.

11. Extra mufflers on modified cars, if the original model only has two mufflers and, the modified one has four, you ought to know it’s a problem that TCD/the police need to look into — considering there’s a grey/pink Volkswagen fitting this type, they ought to be aware of this one and, similar types.

Although some cars come in factory made, it’s obvious something’s not quite right about this particular car at all. Might think I’m picking on people but rather, I’m not because if you drivers actually knew such things were illegal, you wouldn’t still be either driving that illegal thing or, doing that illegal thing.
