Resurfacing work will begin on Reid Street, between Queen Street and Burnaby Hill, beginning on April 12.

The resurfacing work will occur over the course of three weekends, starting at 6pm on Saturday with the road reopening at 5pm on Sunday. The resurfaced section will be complete with no ramps or transitions when the road reopens. Road markings will be remarked before 8am during the week.

In order to minimise impact on local businesses while “getting best value from the contractor”, the road will be closed to all traffic during resurfacing work, said a Corporation of Hamilton spokesperson.

Pedestrian access will remain open on the sidewalks.
