Gibbons Company to sell Gap products

Gap, the international clothing and accessories retailer, will be selling at Gibbons Company by mid-May, the department store has announced.

A Gibbons Company press release announcing the development said: “The Gap Summer 2014 collections will be available at the Gibbons Company department store starting on May 16th, 2014.

Gap Inc. is a global operation whose products for men, women, children, and babies sell under the Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Piperlime, Athleta, and Intermix brands. Last year the company’s net sales were $16.1 billion.

Gibbons said the Gap brand has been known for offering consumers “classic and modern American designs that are comfortable and accessible.

“Customers worldwide have looked to the brand for on-trend, casual clothing and accessories that help them express their personal sense of style,” said their press release.

Gibbons went on to say they will carry: “all the latest styles that are a modern interpretation of Gap’s denim roots and signature pieces that are a staple for every wardrobe.”

Paula Clarke, Gibbons chief executive officer, said: “We are proud to announce our partnership with Gap and are excited about introducing the brand to Bermuda.

“We know that our customers are going to truly enjoy the opportunity to have access to the Gap brand.”

The areas in the store featuring Gap collections will be women’s, men’s and kids and baby departments.

Gap products are sold in 90 countries worldwide through about 3,100 company-operated stores, over 350 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites.

Gibbons Company has 11 departments in-store between Reid and Church Streets, six branch stores and an online store.
