Digicel Prepaid customers are being offered a new plan that will enable them to use data on their smartphones.

At a cost of $2.50, the plan includes 50MB of data per day, which is equivalent to downloading 200 plain text e-mails or viewing 150 webpages.

“Many customers use their smartphones primarily for apps and the prepaid daily data plan gives them an easy way to stay online,” stated Digicel Bermuda commercial director, Alistair Beak. “All a customer has to do is dial a short number to activate and just make sure there’s enough money on the account if they want it to renew.”
