Ascendant Group Ltd shares tumbled more than five percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading yesterday.

Ascendant, owner of electricity provider Belco, closed down 42 cents, or 5.7 percent, at $7.01 as 4,500 shares changed hands.

Fellow utility KeyTech Ltd also traded 6,000 shares, but remained unchanged on its 52-week low of $4.50.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index fell 3.64 points, or 0.26 percent, to close on 1,411.31. Volume was 10,500 shares and turnover was $58,619.

The BSX Insurance Index gained 5.26 points, or 0.36 percent, to close on 1,451.52.
