Kindness is the Bermuda way

June 9, 2014

Dear Sir,

After arriving home on Sunday night after a short trip and having a seamless experience leaving the airport, I realised only when I got home, that the small kitchen rug that I had purchased and took on as hand luggage did not make it into the car I was travelling west in.

I had clearly put it down somewhere and neglected to retrieve it; my own fault. Airport operations were shut down for the evening by the time I realised so first thing this morning I called and endeavoured to speak to someone in lost and found.

I was fortunate to be put through to Mrs Terrylyn Wade who assured me that she would she would do her very best to track down my missing charge. She took my name and number and not two minutes went by before she called me back with the good news that it was in her possession. She not only had it in her excellent care, she went on to further ask me where I was located so she could drop it off to me after she knocked off!

Imagine my delight at not only having my rug back but being afforded the opportunity to meet my saviour. Terrylyn, I can’t thank you (and the kind member of staff who found the rug) enough for coming to my aide and going out of your way to put it back in my grateful hands. You made my day, you made me smile and you certainly know the Bermuda way! I will be sure to pay your kindness forward.
