Founder and former chief executive officer of Ascot Underwriting Limited Martin Reith has joined Securis Investment Partners as an advisory director.

AIG-backed Ascot was established in 2001 and grew to be one of the largest and top performing businesses in Lloyd’s with a network of overseas offices, Securis stated in a press release announcing the appointment.

London-based Securis Investment Partners, an insurance-linked securities and reinsurance-linked investments manager which has recently established a Bermuda presence, said the position was a new one for the company. “Martin Reith is a senior insurance professional with over 25 years’ experience across underwriting, management and leadership.

Most notably, he was the founder and chief executive officer of Ascot Underwriting Limited which was established in 2001 with the support and backing of AIG. Under Martin’s leadership, Ascot grew to be one of the largest and top performing businesses in Lloyd’s with a network of overseas offices.”
