Part one of the programme was held at the Bermuda Insurance Institute from July 14—18, opening with a panel discussion. Participants had the opportunity to engage in a question-and-answer session with panellists Kathleen Faries, CEO of Tokio Solution Management Ltd and Rees Fletcher, Division President of Ace Bermuda.

World renowned Wharton faculty members travelled to Bermuda to provide instruction and facilitate learning.

The topics covered this year included: Strategic Risk Management: Measuring and Monitoring Risk, Strategic Thinking, Managing in Times of Uncertainty, and Strategic Persuasion.

The second part of the programme involves an action learning project. Over the next eight weeks participants will work on their projects and will share their findings at the culminating event which will take place in September.

BII chairman Andrew Soares said: “The BII is delighted with the continued demand and success of our world-class BII/Wharton Leadership Program. As companies look to develop a cadre of well-prepared and talented employees to meet the challenges of the future, we hope they continue to turn to the BII for their training and development needs.”
