Bank shares down, BSX sees decline

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange closed the week down 3.17 at 1,385.32.

A total of 601,413 shares traded at a value of $1,392,989.97.

Decliners outnumbered advancers by five to three.

The banking sector was busy with 567,908 Bank of NT Butterfield shares trading, ending the week down 0.01 at 1.98.

Somers Limited saw 1,000 shares trade, and also ended the week down. It closed at 13.75, a decline of 0.75.

Also down for the week were Bank of NT Butterfield preference shares, which closed at 1,160.00, declining 20.00. A total of 174 shares traded.

In the insurance sector, Argus Group Holdings Ltd was unchanged after 6,400 shares traded at 4.00. BF&M was up 1.15 ending the week at 18.25 after 7,100 shares changed hands. Some 605 shares of Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd changed hands. The value was unchanged at 3.21.

Ascendant Group Limited declined 0.10. finishing the week at 6.15. A total of 6,500 share traded.

KeyTech Ltd was also down. Some 11,800 shares changed hands, ending the week at 4.40, a decline of 0.10.

And Watlington Waterworks Ltd was up 0.25 at the end of trading on Friday. Some 100 shares had traded, finishing the week at 16.50.
