Artist Trevor Todd is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a series of paintings that went missing sometime late last year.

Mr Todd, who was last year featured in New York’s Heath Gallery, said several of his paintings had been in storage in Dockyard with the work of other artists. However he was informed late last year that a number of pieces are missing.

“I don’t know what happened. I’ve been calling around trying to get information about where these things could be,” he said. “I’ve been to Dockyard speaking to people and it’s led me to dead ends. I went looking for information but haven’t really gotten any information, so I’m asking that if anyone sees one of these paintings to contact me and send me a message that they located the pieces that are missing.”

He said that he believed three of four of his paintings were among those missing, including ‘The Net’, which had recently been the focus of a short film entitled ‘Face of the Rock: The Story of Artist Trevor Todd’. It’s sort-of priceless because it was featured in that film, which was in the Bermuda International Film Festival,” he said. “Another one of them around the same size, around three feet by four feet, could have been priced anywhere between $1,800 and $2,000, in that range.”

He said the incident has been “disheartening”, but urged anyone with information about where his paintings are to come forward.
