Playwrights Justine Foster and Julia Pitt have taken the coveted Golden Inkwell after the latest round of the local dramatists’ showdown Famous for 15 Minutes.

The annual contest was held at the Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society’s Daylesford Theatre over the weekend — with the duo taking first place for their collaborative piece, No Heming Way!

The six finalists, chosen from 36 submitted scripts, went before a full house on Saturday night, with US playwright Seth Rozin picking the winners.

Ms Foster and Ms Pitt received a $250 prize, along with the trophy and thespian bragging rights.

Profits from the show go to the BMDS Charitable Trust, which in turn awards bursaries to Bermudian students of the performing arts.
