A 31-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with Monday’s assault on a teenager that has left the victim in critical condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Police reported that the woman, from Pembroke, is now in custody.

It follows an altercation with the 16-year-old, from Warwick, in the vicinity of Ord Road, Paget.

Authorities have asked for anyone with possible information, particularly persons who were on the number two bus travelling on Ord Road at around 4.45pm on Monday, to contact the Serious Crime Unit at 247-1739.

Initial reports said the boy had been struck with an unspecified blunt object.
