BF&M Ltd gained 2.8 percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading yesterday.

The insurer saw 500 of its shares traded and closed at $18.50 per share.

Butterfield Bank was the most actively traded stock, with a total of 25,000 shares changing hands, as the share price remained unchanged on $1.99.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed the day 3.44 points, or 0.25 percent higher, at 1,400.18.

And the BSX Insurance Index finished on 1,459.78 — down 4.49 points, or 0.31 per cent.
