College tag day raises thousands

Bermuda College students helped raise more than $8,500 during a recent tag day. The money will be used for student scholarships and awards.

Governor George Fergusson received the first tag from College president Duranda Greene at Government House.

Almost 50 College employees, students and a host of friends and well-wishers volunteered to tag for up to four hours at a time, over a two-day period.

Organisers said they were “gratified by the outpouring of support, encouragement and donations from members of the public”.
