Temporary disruption to hospital visiting

Patients on Cooper, Curtis and Perry wards of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital will not be able to receive visitors tomorrow, when patients with acute conditions on those wards will be transferred to the new Acute Care Wing.

Bermuda Hospitals Board President and CEO Venetta Symonds said: “Visiting hours from 6pm to 8pm will be in place for those patients in the new wing on Sunday.

“We understand the need for patients to be able to see and have their loved ones visit them while they are in our care. Normal visiting hours of noon to 8pm will take effect from Monday 15 September.”

Normal visiting hours remain in place in the General Wing of KEMH for those wards not moving to the new wing, including the Intensive Care Unit, Gosling — Children’s Ward, Maternity and Gordon Wards.

If you have any questions regarding visiting hours this weekend please call 239-5990. Information is also available on Facebook at AcuteCare Bermuda and on the BHB website, www.bermudahospitals.bm.
