Daniel Augustus is tied for twelfth in a field of 118 players after shooting a second straight one-over par 72 in the New England Open at Belmont Country Club in Massachusetts yesterday.

Augustus was in a three-way tie for tenth after Monday’s opening round which included four birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey.

Hoping to improve in the second round, Augustus again found holes 2, 5 and 10 challenging as he bogeyed those holes along with 14 and 16, though he did manage birdies on 6 and 12 and an eagle on the par 5 9th. Augustus sits on 144 with three other players, nine strokes behind leader Michael Carbone of Brewster, Massachusetts, who leads by one stroke over Cameron Wilson, of Connecticut, going into today’s final round.
