More than 100 students have received qualifications from the Bermuda Insurance Institute (BII).

And those achieving designations from the institute were on Tuesday recognised with a special lunch.

A spokesman for the BII said several of the students achieved more than one designation.

Guest speaker Don Kramer, chairman of ILS Capital Management, told students that the Island’s insurance and reinsurance industry remains strong.

BII CEO Dr Dawnelle Walker said the institute received “overwhelming” support from its membership, both financially and in terms of volunteers.
