Dance hall artist Fiyah Marshall will give his first performance on the Island in more than two years.

He’s gearing up to share some of his music with the crowd at Chewstick’s Neo Griot Lounge tomorrow at 9pm.

The artist, whose real name is Alex Marshall, is known for his songs Take You Away and Secret Fantasy.

He said he was looking forward to getting “up close and personal” with the audience this weekend and exposing a side of him they may not have seen before.

With the help of singer Canjelae and entertainer King Cami Cam, he hopes to make it “an awesome evening”.

“Summer may be over but we are going to bring the FIYAH tomorrow night so I look forward to seeing everyone down at Chewstick for what is going to be an awesome event,” he said.

Admission is $10.

Fiyah Marshall’s five favourite songs for summer:

1. All of Me, by John Legend (Tiesto Remix).

“As far as it goes, this has been the song of the summer pumping through speakers and in clubs everywhere I have travelled,” he said.

“I think it’s very catchy and gets everyone singing along and shows where the current EDM [electronic dance music] crossover into mainstream is at. It’s infectious and a blast. [Dutch DJ] Tiesto kills it again.”

2. Happiest Man Alive, by Machel Montano.

“This was one of my songs of the summer and has a great feel-good soca vibe that pumps energy into any party.”

3. Ready For Di Road (Differentology), by Bunji Garlin.

“This summer’s infectious party vibe doesn’t get much better than this in a song,” he said.

“As a Bermudian and seeing how May 24 was this year, and the desire for more life, energy and passion to be pumped into this beautiful Island, it captures the carnival feeling and brought it home to Bermy! This is another track you cannot help but dance to when it comes on, almost as addictive as listening to Palance by JW & Blaze — but not quite.”

4. EPIC, by Machel Montano.

“Another smash hit of summer from the King of Soca. It’s another feel good vibe to get you up and dancing.”

5. Red Lights, by Tiesto.

“Tiesto does it again this summer with his second smash hit proving why he is the number one EDM DJ in the world,” he said. “Off his album A City Called Paradise, this is another dance record with great melodies that makes you feel good throughout your body! After seeing him play live several times this summer, which was amazing, I would definitely rate him as someone I’d love to work with in the future. He knows how to move the masses!”
