BF&M Ltd rose 2.8 percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading yesterday.

The insurer was the only stock to gain, climbing 50 cents to $18.50 on the trading of 500 shares.

Butterfield Bank remained unchanged on $1.99 as 32,366 shares traded.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose 3.44 points, or 0.25 percent, to close on 1,390.83.

Volume of shares traded totalled 32,901, while turnover topped $73,700.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 7.58 points, or 0.51 percent, to close on 1,472.75.
