The Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre’s month of fundraising events kicked off yesterday with an official proclamation by Health Minister Jeanne Atherden.

The opening ceremony of the charity drive was held at the Centre’s Point Finger Road offices at around midday.

The Centre hopes to raise $250,000 for its outreach initiatives during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

On Friday schools and organisations across the Island will take part in the “Wear it PINK” Denim Day to raise both funds and awareness of breast cancer.
