Rising reggae star to perform in Bermuda

Rising star: Kranium will showcase his musical talents in Bermuda this month

Rising reggae star Kranium will showcase his musical talents in Bermuda this month.

The Jamaican singer will headline a concert at Pier 6 on October 25.

The concert is named after Kranium’s hit song, Lifestyle, and is being organised by Veterans In Action and Wild Apache Promotions.

Kranium is no stranger to local reggae fans as he has a big following in Bermuda, especially among the ladies.

His monster hit single No Body have to Know is an anthem on the radio airwaves and at parties throughout the Island.

“We have been very lucky to secure Kranium for this event,” said Rowan Ramotar of Wild Apache Promotions. “He is fully booked into 2015. We got this date due to a cancellation. He will bring a blend of soulful and dance hall reggae in his unique style.”

Kranium, whose real name is Kemar Donaldson, was born in Montego Bay where he spent most of his childhood days immersed in the Island’s signature music.

He was raised on a staple of rootsy Reggae music, love and a belief that determination and talent would enable him to achieve beyond the norm.

This belief remains intact to this day and he now focuses everything on his first love — music.

Kranium is blessed with vocal talent and the ability to pen intricate verse and catchy hooks. His smooth melodic vocals work well with the dramatic beats he is known for. However, he can jump on any track and blow it away, such is his versatility.

Also performing at this month’s “Lifestyle” concert will be Bermuda’s own Jessie Seymour and JIV.

“Patrons are also in for a treat by Jessie and JIV,” Mr Ramotar said. “These Bermudian artists are at the top of their game right now.”

Music will be provided by YGS and King Jyrus.

“DJs King Jyrus and YGS will be keeping everyone dancing until it’s showtime,” Mr Ramotar added. “We urge everyone to come prepared to have a great night of musical entertainment.”

Limited $25 tickets are now available at Kit n Caboodle, Jazzy boutique, Fish n Tings, Belvin’s Stores, Choices, and The Cave in St George’s.

The public are urged to call 336-8153 or 707-2109 for further information regarding tickets.
