JOURNEY OF THE BUBBLE DUDE!

Extreme adventurer: Reza Baluchi who was attempting to “run” 1,000 miles from Florida to Bermuda in an inflatable bubble was rescued last Saturday by the US Coast Guard. Baluchi abandoned his effort after he began to suffer from fatigue around 70 nautical miles off the coast of St Augustine, Florida. His escpades inspired this poem from one of our readers

How can we pass up the chance to

take a “RUN”

At a serious story which is also

such “FUN”

What’s up with this dude found in

“TROUBLE”

Coming from Florida to Bermuda

in a “BUBBLE”

The bubble is a giant plastic

“WHEEL”

Propelled by running inside it with “ZEAL”

Bubble Dude said he planned it

with “CLARITY”

To raise funds for children and

“CHARITY”

Unlike ET he could phone

“HOME”

He was carrying a satellite

“PHONE”

But the dude’s ride was already

“FRANTIC”

Only seventy miles into the

“ATLANTIC”

He was definitely way out of his

“LEAGUE”

Disoriented and suffering from

“FATIGUE”

Yet he still asked for Bermuda’s

“DIRECTION”

Does Bubble Dude need mental

“INSPECTION!”

The coast guard had warned him

not to “DO” it

But he still insisted on going

“THROUGH” it

Now there’s a question being

“TOSSED”

Should he pay for his rescue

“COSTS”

His attempt to reach Bermuda

was “RICKETY”

But Bubble Dude gave us

some free “PUBLICITY!”

Sicerely,

Fun Poet
