Name: Fiona Dobson

Age: 16

School Position: Head Girl

Favourite Subject: Geography. I love learning about how the world works and about all the different people and cultures.

Hobbies: Drama, flute, singing, Zumba, photography, writing.

What are your plans for further education?

I am planning on going to University in the UK to study geography.

What are your career aspirations?

To go into the field of geography and use my people skills and writing skills. (I’m not quite sure which particular career yet.)

What is your priority for the year ahead?

* To work my hardest to achieve the grades I need to get into university.

* To make the most of my last year on this beautiful island.

* To make a difference in my role as Head Girl.

What advice do you have for students?

Don’t let judgments of others change who you are and what you do; it is your life so it is up to you how you choose to live it.

Name: Daniel Hetzel

Age: 17

Favourite Subject: Physics

Hobbies: Golf, classical guitar, photography.

What are your plans for further education?

I would like to study Mechanical Engineering in the US or Canada.

What are your career aspirations?

To be an engineer, mechanic or other discipline.

What is your priority for the year ahead?

* To get accepted in to a good university.

* Follow through with good grades in the IB Diploma.

What advice do you have for students?

Remain focused on relevant tasks. Find a way to make your time in school enjoyable.

Name: Kristina Grant

Age: 17

School position: Deputy Head Girl

Favourite subject: Biology. I love being able to scientifically understand the basic functions of life.

What are your further education plans?

Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine in the UK at either University of Nottingham, Bristol, Liverpool or at the Royal Veterinary College.

What are your career aspirations?

To become a certified veterinarian, perhaps working with exotic animals.

Hobbies: Photography, drama, volunteering at various animal facilities.

What advice do you have for students?

It is better to aim high and fall short than aim low and achieve low expectations.

Name: Olivia Moore

Age: 16

School Position: Deputy Head Girl

Favourite subject: Biology and Spanish

What are your plans for further education?

To study veterinary medicine and science in a UK University.

What are your career aspirations?

To be a veterinary surgeon/practitioner. I would like to own a mixed vet practice.

Hobbies: Competitive swimming, creative writing, dog handling, website management and reading.

What is your priority for the year ahead?

To study hard and improve grades to gain entrance to a UK and Ireland top university for Vet Med.

What advice do you have for students?

Do what you love and do it well. Everything that comes after is easier. The future doesn’t seem so if you’re not happy.

School Position: Deputy Head Boy

Favourite Subject: Biology, sciences in general.

What are your further education plans?

To study biomedical toxicology in Canada or the UK.

What are your career aspirations?

To be a doctor of medicine and specialise in neurology.

Hobbies: For the past four years it has been the Warwick Academy Annual Drama Production.

Favourite quote: “Be what you are.”

What advice do you have for students?

Expose yourself to everything and take risks to learn from your mistakes.

Name: Brianna Siddle

Age: 16

School Position: Human Rights Ambassador

Favourite Subject: Geography.

Hobbies: Photography and travel.

What are your plans for further education?

I would like to study sociology and or double major with Social Policy or International Relations in the UK or Canada.

What are your career aspirations?

I would possibly like to have a career in law or politics. I am advocate for gender equality.

What is your priority for the year ahead?

As Human Rights Ambassador I wish to encourage students to get involved in human rights. Allow students to have a voice in a no judge zone. On the personal front, I wish to study for my exams, exceed, maintain academic, sports, drama and community service in a well balanced lifestyle.

What advice do you have for students?

Work hard in school but keep a balance. Make time for yourself. Don’t be afraid to stand up for what you believe in. If you get given an opportunity, take it!

Name: Alize Bailey

Age: 17

School Position: Student Council President

Favourite subject: Mathematics and Information Technology.

What are your plans for further education?

To study finance and marketing in the UK.

What are your career aspirations?

I am not sure yet.

Hobbies: Basketball, volleyball and modelling.

Favourite quote: “Fall down seven times, stand up eight.”

What is your priority for the year ahead?

To graduate with grades that meet or exceed my targeted grades and also to get into Universities of my choice.

What advice do you have for students?

If you are well rounded like I am, make sure education remains your number one priority and don’t try to juggle more than what you can handle.

School Position: Leader of Drama at Warwick Academy

What your plans for further education?

BFA Acting Degree in the US.

What are your career aspirations?

Acting

Hobbies: Swimming, sailing, surfing and reading.

What is your priority for the year ahead?

To be a role model for drama students at Warwick Academy.

What advice do you have for students?

The key to success is falling in love with your work. Love what you do and you will never fail.

To take every challenge as an opportunity to better yourself.

To study commerce at Queen’s University.

What are your career aspirations?

To do what I love and to go to work every day wherever that may be.

Hobbies: Dancing, music, volunteering, choreography.

What is your priority for the year ahead?

In school as a leader to be a role model to the younger students. Outside the classroom to motivate myself to be the best in order to achieve my goals.

What advice do you have for students?

Do not worry about what other students are doing. Worry about ‘me’ and what you are doing to achieve your goals and how you can improve yourself to be a better you.
