A 51-year-old man is in Intensive Care after a road crash in the early hours of this morning.

The motorcyclist, of Hamilton Parish, was in a stable condition, police said.

He was in an accident on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Tee Street at about 12.10am.

No other vehicles were involved.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old Smith’s man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving this morning after the car he was driving hit a wall.

The accident happened on Middle Road near Watlington Road in Devonshire at about 4.10am.

He was not injured but the car was extensively damaged, police said.

He will appear in court in due course.
