Man hurt in three-way crash

Police: updates on recent injuries sustained on the roads

A West End resident hurt on Monday after a three-vehicle crash has been discharged from hospital, police reported.

A motorcycle and two cars collided at 6pm on Monday, at the junction of Mangrove Bay Road and Ferry Lane in Sandys, injuring the rider, a 49-year-old Sandys man.

Witnesses to the collision, in which all three vehicles were damaged, are asked to contact Pc Lesa Stovell of the Somerset Police Station at 234-1010.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old Paget man injured in Saturday’s fatal motorcycle collision was said to be recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

However, a 51-year-old Hamilton Parish man hurt in a single vehicle motorcycle crash on Thursday remains in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

Another patient, believed to be a 35-year-old contract worker, was hurt on Saturday after falling from a ladder outside a residence at Longford Road, Warwick, and is currently in stable condition at the ICU.
