A Thankgiving Gathering is being organised to express gratitude for the collective response during Tropical Storm Fay and Hurricane Gonzalo.

Imagine Bermuda, along with the Island’s major churches and community groups, plan to host the event in Hamilton on Wednesday, October 29 at 2pm. The venue will be confirmed on Monday.

A spokesperson from Imagine Bermuda said: “The purpose of this gathering is to provide an opportunity for the Island to come together to express our joint appreciation for the blessings that have been evident. For instance, no lives were lost in those challenging circumstances. This is a chance for the wider community to offer thanks to our fellow residents who have roles that make them the most vulnerable during these situations, such as the members of the EMO, Regiment, Police, Fire, Telco and BELCO.

“This is an opportunity for the entire Island to join in consideration of the blessings that have flowed in the face of this challenge. We will also stand in solidarity with those who remain affected by this natural calamity.”
