Woman denies bus driver assault

A woman accused of assaulting a bus driver has been charged with assault against another person in a separate incident.

Cinamin Lovell Grant, 23, pleaded not guilty in Magistrates’ Court to a single count of assaulting Santina Harvey in an incident on September 4 in Sandys.

The alleged incident occurred while Ms Grant was on bail for another matter, where it is alleged she assaulted bus operator Pearman Tucker. She has also denied using threatening words to another bus operator, Fabian Harris, in an incident last November.

She has been set to appear in court for trial in connection to the older charges this week, but that trial was yesterday set back until January.

In connection to the most recent charge, Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe released Ms Grant on $2,000 bail with a like surety, ordering that the matter return to the court in March.
